About the Essl Page

The music streamed on this page is Sonnez la Cloche by Karlheinz Essl, performed and recorded live by Karlheinz Essl for aAmplify in September 2002 in the Essl Museum near Vienna. Sonnez la Cloche was recorded direct to hard disc and subsequently re-mixed, edited, mastered and prepared for the web in the aAmplify studios by Stephen Ferguson in September 2000.

For technical reasons a portion of the work (the first 4 minutes) has been edited out to facilitate streaming. The three excerpts found here are not designated parts of the work, which is in one continuous movement, but have been prepared in this form for streaming purposes only. The music is ©Karlheinz Essl, AKM, 2002.

A number of the works of Karlheinz Essl are published by Universal Edition (www.universaledition.com). Information about Karlheinz Essl on the web can be found on his own extensive site at the following address: http://www.essl.at
